Dear Community,
As Chair of the North Andover School Committee, I would like to share my perspective on the CLA report.(Linked Here: CLA Report) Although the CLA report helps us understand what could have been done better in the past, more importantly, it helps the district to understand what improvements we need to
make going forward with the budgeting process.

Dear NAMS Families,
I am delighted to inform you that the Middle School inspections were successful, and we have received approval to open on time for both staff and students. We look forward to welcoming all NAMS students back to school on Wednesday, August 28th.Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigated this extensive project. I also want to extend my sincere appreciation to the NAMS Leadership team, the NAMS Building Committee, the North Andover Fire and Town Building inspectors, our contractors, Colliers, our Project Manager, and our custodial staff for their dedication and hard work in reaching this milestone. We are all excited about the new opportunities this space will bring to our students.

Dear NAMS Families,
I hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying your summer. I am writing to provide an important update on the addition and renovation of our Middle School. I’m sure you’ve noticed the significant progress that has been made, and we are excited about the incredible new opportunities this space will offer our students.
While the project has been progressing well, the timeline we’ve been working with is quite ambitious. As anyone who has undertaken a renovation knows, unexpected delays can sometimes occur.
In the next few weeks, we anticipate the delivery of new furniture and essential inspections by the building inspector and fire department. However, should we encounter any delays that prevent us from occupying the building as planned, there may be a need to delay the start of the Middle School by one or two days.
I will provide a final update on August 23rd, confirming whether a delay will be necessary. In the meantime, I wanted to give you advance notice so you can begin to consider alternate plans for your child/children in the event that a delay does occur.
Please rest assured that everyone involved is working diligently, and we remain optimistic about opening on time. However, in the spirit of transparency and caution, we wanted to make you aware of this possibility.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we navigate this final phase of the project.
Warm Regards,
Pamela Lathrop, Acting Superintendent
